Zotshee Zotshee As an LSU Honors Division undergrad, Zotshee studied classical art and 19th-century Impressionism. He was gobsmacked by the brushstrokes of Monet, Renoir, and Cezanne. After receiving his B.A. degree, he began a series of oil paintings and sold a Groucho Marx silhouette at a Baton Rouge gallery.

With his artistic eye continuing to evolve, Zotshee soon became fascinated by the works of Pollock, Kooning, Warhol, Motherwell, Francis, Ossorio . . . and Basquiat (a bit later).

It was a gut-wrenching enlightening of the soul.

But sadly, upon returning from a four-month stay in Europe, which had included seven days in Paris . . .

Zotshee gave away all of his paintings. He could not face a blank canvas anymore. He called it his hard-row-to-hoe years . . .

Because he bounced from one low-paying job to the next, trying to make ends meet.

Luckily for him, Zotshee was eventually able to get his act together and escape the debilitating funk when he finally saved up enough money to move to Colorado.

Living in Boulder, he pursued his passion for art; and he was soon awarded a $5000 fellowship by the Colorado Council on the Arts & Humanities. With that eye-catching credential under his belt . . . Zotshee was then accepted into UCLA grad school. He matriculated there for three years and was anointed with a Master of Fine Arts degree, which jolted his career to a much higher level.

For many years, Zotshee has been working behind the scenes as a self-employed professor, helping others attain their dreams . . . teaching workshops, movie consulting, publishing books, but not showing any of his artwork.

Then when NFTs began exploding in the sky above the artworld like humongous Roman candles, Zotshee decided to pick up an Apple Pencil and try his hand at digital art. After he sold his first NFT, he bought some new brushes and began painting oils on canvas yet again.
